Institute of Medicine (US) Committee to Assess Training Needs for Occupational Safety and Health Personnel in the United States. Safe Work in the 21st Century: Education and Training Needs for the Next Decade's Occupational Safety and Health Personnel. .   The focus on these “21st century goals” is visible in education and curricular reform, and has been promoted by global discussion of changing work and societal needs.

The teaching and learning of history in Nigerian schools have been observed to be going into extinction; as if there is no need for the younger generation to be aware of their cultural backgrounds. This paper is intended to highlight the relevance.   The “21st Century Skills” movement is more than a decade old. Yet, educators still pose important questions about how to move 21st century education forward. NEA has been an advocate of the 21st century education movement from its inception and wants to empower educators to move it forward in their own practice.

In recent years, education systems worldwide have also developed frameworks with an increased emphasis on developing the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success in the 21st century.
